Thanksgiving 2009

Just so everyone knows, I love my mom & dad more than anyone or anything!  The things they do for our family are amazing.  Mom-Thank you so much for a wonderful Thanksgiving feast and being the best hostess in the world.  Dad-Thank you for helping mom and for washing ALL the MANY dishes!  :) 

I also have to thank Shawn's mom for making a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner!  :)  It was so sweet of you to invite me...thank you!

YAY...for new music!

Ok, so I have 2 new fav artists...Ke$ha & Kids of 88.  It's so refreshing to hear new music and its all absolutely craziness.  I also found Fleming & John on itunes!!!  Fleming & John was one of my FAVORITE bands EVER in middle school!!!  :)  I was having a weirdo day but now I feel relaxed and bit more myself. 

**Hint for xmas...itunes!!!!**  lol

Better Late than Never

I had a fabulous birthday this year...although I feel like an old fart!!! ;) To start it off I went to Mom's house on November 1st for dinner. She made amazing meatloaf and I got hooked up by Jordan & fam, Betsey, & mom & dad with awesome gifts.

Then, on my actual birthday my Boss gave me all weight watcher friend snacks..such a creative and yummy gift! And the owners of our company gave me a giftcard to a super fancy steak place; Donovan's. Holy yummy! Shawn got the 14oz filet by request of the owers of my company and I got a small filet and shrimp scampy! Seriously, I could eat there everyday! AND-Shawn ate salad! And he loved it...mostly b/c it was smoothered in a spicy ceaser dressing. lol. And for desert...creme brule! Was great! And for my birthday Shawn got me my FAVORITE Juicy Couture lotion, body wash, & perfume!!! He's so great.

But all I had asked for was flowers, which I did not get until the 4th. :) He picked me up from work and surprised me with flowers! 1st time I've EVER been given roses by a boyfriend. He said he didn't want to give them to me for my b-day b/c I was expecting them and he wanted to surprise me. :) After that Shawn & I met up with his family to celebrate Shawn's mom's b-day & mine at Chili's. Shawn's mom & I have the same birthday...weird huh? Anyway, Shawn's sister Bree got me a beautiful watch. And his mom got me earrings, bracelets, and a giftcard to B&N. :D

And, to finish off my 25th birthday, I celebrated with friends on Saturday. I had a blast! I even got to hang out with Kacy Bryce AND I got to catch up with her mom Joan. It was an awesome birthday to say the least. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR THE CARDS, GIFTS, AND BIRTHDAY WISHES! Love ya'll

GLASSES!

So...a few weeks ago I finally got glasses! :) It is awesome to be able to see again! lol. I absolutely love my new glasses.

Movie Review

I mean I guess I just wasn't expecting what I saw. It was freaking scary! I know I'm a fraidy cat but still...it was creepy. The animation was amazing! Sometimes I forgot that it was a cartoon movie all together. Some parts of the movie were just weird and it's like it wasn't all the way pieced together. Maybe it's my film analysis class kicking in but I just wasn't all that impressed with Disney this time around.

The movie is full of racial slurs and some bad language but the message in the movie is amazing! The movie is about numerous different people and their very different lives but all of them tie in together at the end. Emotional and enlightening! Loved it!

Family B-day Celebration!

I celebrated my birthday with the family on Sunday the 1st. Mom made meatloaf (on my request) and it was freakin' delicious! I seriously couldn't stop eating it! lol. And then I totally cheated on my diet and ate almost a whole piece of cheesecake that by the way was amazing! :)

Then, by Tarin's request, I opened my presents! I got a bunch of paints and stamps from Mom. Money, Ross giftcard, Michael's giftcard from Mom & Dad. Money from Jordan, Julie, & kids. And giftcard to Target from Bets. THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH EVERYONE!

I think Shawn is taking me out to dinner on my actual birthday...pretty excited. All I asked for from him was flowers. I have never been given flowers from a boyfriends so hopefully... lol
