My 1st Shoveling Of Snow

So we had a HUGE snow storm last week/over the weekend. Dad was outta town and the driveway needed to be shoveled sooooo bad. So I got this great idea that I was going to attempt it. lol. I got some pointers from Leslie before I went at it but here are some pics:

This was probably after a good 1/2 hour to 45 minutes of shoveling. I obviously gave up after realizing that I don't have shovelin' skills


And then Jordan came to save the day! lol. After like 10 minutes he had half the drive done! lol


Needless to say I suck at driveway snow shoveling! But I did get some fun time in the snow with Darla.

Getting "Shiz" Off My Chest

December will probably forever be a hard month for me. Two HUGE events happened in Decembers past...both sad. Even though both events have changed me for the better it is sometimes hard for me to put all those memories and such in the past.

I'm vowing to not continue to be such a mess and to genuinly learn from my mistakes. But it is sooo hard for me to see pass what I've been through and to give people a chance. And once I have given someone a chance and put my emotions into something I feel like it blows up in my face.

So, I will definately learn from my mistakes but please don't expect me to put my heart into anything that can so easily be distroyed.

Domestically Challenged

My whole life I've been domestically challenged. Let me explain: I like cleaning just not my own place. I can't cook to save my life and baking is out of the question! lol. Well just in the past few months I'm proud to say mom has FINALLY got me in the kitchen long enough to show me how to bake/make a few things! Here are my creations...lol.


My friend Lory held a HUGE Halloween party so I made these for the party. This was my first baking experience EVER! Mom helped me make the dough (from scratch), Lindsay helped me cut out the ghosts & witch hats..





Lindsay was having a few people over for a Utah game so I decided to attempt Chocolate Chip cookies (from scratch). I made these cookies all by myself...and that is probably why they were rock hard! Pretty, but gross. lol




And then came Dad's 64th birthday which this year fell on Thanksgiving. Mom wanted me to bake his favorite cake for him-Texas Sheet Cake. I was kinda sorta freakin' out because not only is this my dad's fav. cake...everyone that was over for thanksgiving would probably try it! AHHHH-but to my dismay it turned out really freakin' good! lol. I think Texas Sheet cake is my new fav. cake too! :)



SUGAR COOKIES..all by myself! Whoohoo! lol-I was extremely board today so I decided to see if I could actually make good cookies without any help. I am glad to say "I DID IT!" and they taste really really good! The ones on the back row are NOT burnt they are chocolate sugar cookies. :)




LOL-Kind of a random blog but I feel very accomplished. Now go see Role Models. :)

I'm sorry I don't have more pics! I had a terrible cold and was bundled up in my bedroom or on the coach most of the day! I am happy to report that I did get to sit at the big kids table though! :) It was an amazing Thanksgiving but I miss all my brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews that couldn't make it this year. LOVE YOU ALL!!

A Reason, A Season, Or Forever

My dear friend Leslie once told me that people come into your life for a reason, a season, or forever. I would like to dedicate this blog to all of my forevers....

My family-I would be nothing without you! You stuck by me through all of my hard times (which I've had a lot), been there to cheer me on for my most memorable moments, and have seen but not judged me at my worst. All though I'm not a super family oriented at times, I love all of you: Matt, Jordan, Allie, Betsey, Leslie, Mom & Dad, my soon to be 14 neices & nephews, and my extended family.

Cait2-It was love at first sight! ;) lol. Cait2 was my PIC (partner in crime) for years. Even when I got married and lost touch with all of my friends she understood and was there for me during my divorce. I was really afraid that me moving half way accross the country from her would weaken our friendship but it didn't. Cait2 is definately a forever in my life and I thank her for that.

A-Mack-Boy oh boy have we been through some times. Ash is my BCB president (buttercup bandits), a best friend, a sister from another mother, my penut to my butter...lol. Ashley has definately been a mentor to me and has lifted me up through my tough times. And the tough times that we've been through as friends has not ruined our friendship at all but made it stronger. Thanks Ash!!!

Duncan Baskin-The one and only man that I love as equal to my dad & brothers. Duncan & I have known eachother since 6th grade and I've considered him my best friend and the best boyfriend I could ever ask for! Duncan left for boarding school 9th grade and unfortunately we lost touch but to my surprise he showed up in my 11th grade Enlish class! I was so excited to have him back! Duncan is one of the most real, down to earth, loving people I have ever met and I wish him nothing but the best. I LOVE YA DUNK! :)

Moni Love & Allison-Sorry girls but I had to clump ya together because that's how we roll! lol. Allison was the very first friend I met in Jensen Beach and moni was soon to come after. These girls are so awesome and I know will always be there for me and I will for them!

Jordan Greene-My best guy friend growing up. Jordan & I don't keep close touch since I've moved, but Jordan will always be a forever in my life. Although Jordan was friends with both my ex & I he never chose sides and always stayed loyal to me as a friend. I lover face you jordan!

Last but not least...
TAMINA-I've only known Tamins for a little over a year but I know now she will be a forever in my life. This is one of the most amazing women I have ever met. She is a single mom of 4 handsom boys, has a demanding job, and still finds time to enjoy a little time for herself. I couldn't have asked for a better friend! :)

REVISION OF LAST NIGHTS POST

I should really know better than to blog when I'm super upset and trying to rush out the door! lol. I would like to better explain myself and what I was trying to get accross....

Yes, I've been hurt this past year by both friends and ex's but that's really not what I was trying to get accross. I just don't understand how cheating became so main stream in the world we live in. It's absolutely disgusting that BOTH women and men can't seem to stay loyal to their boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse. Why is it soooo hard for people to stay truthful/faithful to their loved ones? Wouldn't it just be so much easier to be single instead of hurting someone's feelings? And the things people say when they get caught: "I used a condom", "It was before we became official", "I was drunk". Let me elaborate on these further. lol. I'm pretty sure that the fact you used a condom is NOT going to help your love get over the fact you cheated. Like what are we supposed to say "Oh, honey...thanks for using a condom! I'm totally over it now!" lol. "It was right before we became official!"...that's the stupidest excuse I've ever heard! It wouldn't be considered cheating if it was right before we became official and most likely it was while you were official! lol. And the "I was drunk" theory is straight stupid to say to someone who has been drinking for years. IDC what you say you have a consience EVEN when your drunk.

As far as my last night post, this is how I really feel: The person who takes the higher road, as far as ending the relationship completely, somehow gets ridiculed!?! I feel like I have the right to be upset about my ex getting a girl prego while I was dating him. For me personally, in the situation I've been going through, I was not in love what-so-ever but I trusted this person and really cared for him as a person! I feel betrayed by her and a fool for being with him. I mean, we are all human and it takes time to heal. I'd really appreciate if all of his friends would just leave me alone about the situation. I would also appreciate all his friends to stop grilling me for info like who are you dating, what are you doing in your life, blah blah blah. It baffles me that I got a phone call from his roomie last night to say he still likes me and that we should hang out?? I have no intention of hanging out with my ex let alone his close friends. lol-That's a little ridiculous to me!

I'm done venting about this situation now...I hope this better explains what I was trying to get accross instead of what I said last night in a rage.

I have a Justin Bobby

I LOVE the t.v. show The Hills!! If you have watched the show then you know who Justin Bobby is...if you haven't watched the show then you might be a little lost. lol

Probably everyone has had a Justin Bobby in their life. A J.B. is someone that you totally enjoy spending time with, you have tons of things in common, your a little smitten by this person, but ultimately he just isn't good for you! I have one of those in my life right now. It's like he has a pull over me for some reason. Everytime I feel like I'm doing okay and not thinking about him much..he calls or appears where I am! WTF...its annoying! All I have to stay in this short, venting blog is:

Random Thoughts of Frustration

Alrighty, I just woke up, I'm a little groggy, please excuse any major spelling errors. lol.

Most of you know I'd been single for about 2 1/2 years and was completely fine/happy! For some reason I decided to take the plunge and start dating again. I dated this one guy for about 5 months...didn't work out...so here I am single again. There are soooo many pros to being single in my opinion. But my pros are not probably the same as yours! lol-I don't like being single to be "in the game" of dating or to "hook up" with whoever. Instead I like beings single because I'm selfish and I have time to do whatever I want. :) I love spending time with my girls...going out and seriously just hanging with my girls. I also like the fact that I don't have to answer to anyone. All that being said...here comes my frustration!....

I am a complete and total socialite. I love being around lots of people, meeting new people, going dancing, having a drink or two...it's just who I am. Because I chose that life style, I meet these 5 types of men: (please read the following in my "sarcastic, don't give a crap" voice.:) )

1. The fake high roller-The guy that obviously is broke as hell but pretends he's a "balla" and trys to flawnt his $1.00 bills. Bro-seriously...I like money, but your $1.00 bills are NOT going to impress me! And when we go out to your car and your rollin' the same 87 I am...yeah, it's just not going to happen!

2. The Old Man-I'm 23. What the hell does a 50+ man think? "OMG, he reminds me of my dead grandpa...I should totally hook up with him!!" LOL-I mean come on guys for real...my cut off is 37...DUH! ;)

3. The Gangsta-This type of man makes me smile. I live in Utah people...there aren't any "gangsta's" in this state! haha-These kids are totally white but they think if they talk in ebonics that they are gangsta! If you are one of them...please dont' hit on me!

4. The Alcoholic-This one is a given. Because I hang out at most places that serve alcohol, I'm bound to meet an alcoholic or 5! I'm not talking about the guy that had a little too much that night...I'm talking about the guy that's been drinking since he was 16 non stop. It's not attractive that your breathe smells like Bud Light..permanately! Actually it's quite repulsive. :) I definately got love for those alchies that try to spit game when they are super drunk because everything that comes out of their mouth doesn't make sense. haha

5. The Gold Digger-Yes, men are gold diggers as well. I like to have a good time and for the most part I've been able to pay for myself if I go out. And by paying for my own things I guess some men think I want to pay for them as well. NO-I dO not want to pay for your things or your drinks...the only thing I will pay for is for you to get away from me! lol. The funny thing is...I can spot a "gold digger" from a mile away because I've played that game before. lol

Ending this random blog...I'm single, yes, but I'm not interested in "hooking up" nor am I trying to find my next ex-husband! I am sooo OVER being "hit on" or "sweet talked"! I also hate one liners...my all time fav., that I get told all the time..."Wow, I can't believe your boyfriend let you outta his sight." or "So, where's your boyfriend tonight?". Just freakin' ask the girl if she has a boyfriend...dont' try and be sly about it! lol. Anyways-my new response to any of the above 5 types of men that ask me if I have a boyfriend is "Nope, I'm single for life. And trust me you are NOT going to change that!" :) Sorry for the sarcasim today but I'm really over some types of guys! lol. Love ya'll and hope you have a great saturday.
